The Humanist Association of Québec (HAQ) welcomes all atheists, non-believers, free-thinkers and other brights who with to participate in the promotion of critical thinking and of humanist values in Québec.

The HAQ in a non-profit organisation of members who contribute a modest membership fee and who each have a single vote in the general assemblies that elect the board of directors that manages the affairs of the Association. (The related Humanist Foundation of Québec is non-profit organisation of donors whose voting rights are proportional to their respective contributions).

The board of directors of the HAQ can legitimetely speak in the name of its members for it is elected annually.(No one can speak in the name of all or part of the brights constituency whose sole function is to provide individuals with a platform to declare that their world view does not comprise supernatural or mystical elements.
